8 Most Influential Players In The Premier League Right Now

4. Cesc Fabregas - Chelsea

Having been such an influential figure during his days at Arsenal, everybody felt that Fabregas' move back to boyhood club Barcelona would see him reach another level. The Spaniard's time at Camp Nou didn't quite go to plan though, with the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta outshining him week in, week out, and he joined Chelsea in the summer. He was expected to add a lot to Mourinho's side, but Fabregas has been even better than many people predicted. The 27-year-old has been in scintillating form since the opening weekend of the campaign, in which he produced one of the assists of the season, for Andre Scurrle against Burnley. He has continued to flourish from that point on, and his 13 assists is a phenomenal return. When considering that he already has 10 to his name in the Premier League, and that the record is 20, set by Thierry Henry, there is no reason why he can't break it. Chelsea lacked a creative maestro in the middle of the park last season, and the vision, experience and all-round world-class quality Fabregas has brought to the side has been magical. It's no surprise that he is one of the favourites to win the PFA Player of the Year award at the end of the season. The former Gunners captain is a player at the peak of his powers.
