Despite the rich array of influential talent in this list, there are none who have been as vital to their team as Aguero this season. The Manchester City legend has been in astounding form, and while others around him have struggled to hit top gear, he has saved them time and time again with his genius. There's an argument to say that there isn't a better striker in world football at the moment. The 26-year-old's displays have been blistering since August, and he has scored 19 goals in just 20 matches in all competitions. The standard of his finishing is truly world-class, perfectly highlighted by his hat-trick against Bayern Munich in last week's Champions League showdown, his work-rate is magnificent and the level of movement and intelligence he shows is unrivalled at the moment. Aguero has been superb since signing for City, but there are signs that he is actually getting even better. Pellegrini's men have flattered to deceive in the last few months, with players like Yaya Toure, Fernando, Jesus Navas and Stevan Jovetic all disappointing. Luckily for them they have a striker alongside them who is doing it all himself at the moment. He is the Premier League's most influential player right now.
