8 Newcastle United Players Fighting For New Contracts
6. Facundo Ferreyra
Facundo Ferreyra has not once pulled on the famous black-and-white-striped jersey in a competitive fixture - and that looks extremely unlikely to change between now and the end of the season. Since arriving on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, the 24-year-old Argentine forward has been so disappointing that he hasnt been able to get on the pitch even once - in spite of the Magpies abysmal form. Despite a career return of 38 goals from 103 games for Club Atletico Banfield, Velez Sarsfield and Shakhtar, the striker who was supposedly signed on the advice of Magpies captain Fabricio Coloccini has had a disastrous spell on Tyneside and his loan deal will not be made permanent.Verdict: No chance in a million years that Ferreyra will be offered a permanent deal.
