8 Rangers Players Who Should Be Embarrassed To Wear The Shirt

There was once talk of Lee Wallace becoming captain of Glasgow Rangers, but those claims were put to bed by his performances last season. When the Gers needed leaders most, Wallace was often found crumbling under the pressure - far from leading some of the younger members of the squad, Lee played them into trouble with his passing.

It really seems that one of the only tactics Rangers had in season 2014-2015 was trying to play Lee Wallace down the wing. It's true that this did work on occasion, but why the constant need for the left back to bomb forward? This was worsened by the fact that the team were creaky at the back, so they really could have done with the back up.

An excellent signing in 2011 from Hearts, Wallace struggled during the last campaign. A better player than he showed throughout, the defender should have performed better against teams like Hibernian, Hearts and Motherwell, but his aforementioned desire to always push forward was not smart.

Mark Warburton has already been looking at a few wing backs to beef out the squad, so Lee Wallace must hit the ground running quickly under the new gaffer, otherwise he could find himself out of the team in short order.
