8 Reasons Newcastle United Will Avoid Relegation

2. Other Teams Have Tougher Games

Newcastle have the easiest run-in out of the potential relegation candidates, with Crystal Palace set to suffer the most difficult set of fixtures, as well as an additional FA Cup semi final to consider. Only two of Crystal Palace's remaining games are at home, as they face trips to Upton Park, The Emirates and Old Trafford, as well as a crucial game at St James' Park. Sunderland's run-in is almost as tough as Palace's, but they will have the benefit of playing most of their matches at the Stadium of Light. Sam Allardyce's side will need to pick up points from tricky home games against Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton. Although it may look beneficial for the Black Cats to have so many home games, Sunderland have only won 25% of their home games in the past three seasons. Norwich's next three games will most likely decide their fate. It could not get any bigger as they prepare to play Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Sunderland. If the Canaries were to win those three games, they would most likely be safe going into their final four fixtures against Arsenal, Manchester United, Watford and Everton. Providing Newcastle win their games against teams around them, the pressure could be off them if their rivals struggle.
