One of the most-interesting points Carver seems to have made is with regards to the £10 million-plus summer signing Remy Cabella, who the Newcastle head coach insists just "needs time" because "he's still adjusting" to life in the Premier League. Yes Cabella's flashes of brilliance have been all too rare so far this season, but there have certainly been some - and given confidence he could turn into an accomplished player in the English top flight. Carver also claims Cabella is one of the "most hard-working players, on and off the pitch" - so his shortcomings clearly aren't for a want of trying.
