9 Reasons Why Charlie Austin Should Sign For Newcastle

8. He'll Be Guaranteed A Start On Tyneside

There are plenty of Premier League suitors for Austin, so top-flight football cannot be the only lure of a move to Newcastle United this summer. Austin himself will know that he has been able to impress in the Premier League because he has started week-in, week-out in a side that is geared up to play towards his strengths - something that would be replicated at Newcastle. At other potential destinations - for example Chelsea or Manchester United - Austin would likely be simply a squad player who would be used only fleetingly. He is not going to be selected ahead of Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge or Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford, but he would have no such problems at St James' Park. Newcastle are already looking to offload Papiss Cisse in order to make room for Austin's arrival - and maybe even another incoming forward on top of that - and that will allow Steve McClaren to completely mould his side around the 25-year-old. For his own continued career development, Tyneside should be Austin's destination of choice.
