Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea: Premier League Player Ratings

Arsenal

Wojciech Szczesny: Routine saves from Torres and Willian first half. A clean sheet after conceding six at Manchester City is a marked improvement though, however little the Pole had to do here. 6/10.

Bacary Sagna: Deflected header from a corner cleared off the line in stoppage time. Always got up from right back to supplement attacks. Gunners need him to sign a new contract. 6/10.

Per Mertesacker: Matched Torres physically and wise not to be sucked out of the middle. The clean sheet will repair some of damage done to the Arsenal defence by the big loss at the Etihad. 6/10.

Thomas Vermaelen: Dodgy back-passes, but recovered from those early jitters. Ably deputized for the injured Laurent Koscielny. Clean sheet is a tick for the Belgian and Gunners club captain. 6/10.

Kieran Gibbs: Our man of the match. A consistent threat on the overlap and that wastypified by him setting up the second Giroud chance late on. Stood out as the best fullback on the pitch tonight. 7/10.

Aaron Ramsey: Quiet performance, but played in Giroud for chance 12 minutes from time. Sportingly put the ball out when Ramires injured and got an earful from own teammates. Early season purple patch has subsided, but still passing well. 5.5/10.
