Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea: Premier League Player Ratings

Mikel Arteta: In the wars in the holding role. Went in with Mikel for a cunching 50-50 ball and came off worse first half. Ramires lunged in on him after the break. Swept up in front of his back four well enough here. Wenger seems to have decided it's either the Spaniard or Mathieu Flamini. 6/10.

Theo Walcott: Saw a penalty appeal turned down at 0-0. Later booked for bringing down Azpilicueta as he faded out of the match. Expecting to see him rested at some point over Christmas as England winger is not long back from injury layoff. 5.5/10.

Mesut Ozil: Involved in the build-up to the Walcott penalty incident. Reacted badly to a dangerous challenge from Ivanovic. These big games are when Gunners fans are expecting the German to turn on the style and make an effective contribution. Must do better. 5/10.

Tomas Rosicky: Booked for foul on Ivanovic, but result of persistent tackling. Involved in build-up to two Giroud chances. Energetic as ever from the Czech. 5/10.

Olivier Giroud: French forward worked well in wide areas, but spurned his two clear sights when played in by Ramsey and Gibbs. Giroud would really benefit from some backup. Perhaps Podolski can provide that now he's fit again? 5/10.
