3. Lamela And Eriksen Need To Start The Next Game
Christian Eriksen wasn't signed in time to make the Spurs squad for this match, while Erik Lamela was restricted to a brief substitute appearance (which looked quite promising), but when the next round of Premier League matches occur after the looming international break, Spurs should be starting with them both. Lamela will give Soldado - who looked very isolated at times - some much needed support and is the most likely candidate to provide that special 'x-factor' that Spurs had with Gareth Bale last season, while Eriksen will provide a level of creativity that Spurs have so evidently lacked up to now this season. Chadli, Dembele and Townsend are a decent attacking midfield trio but, for a team with the ambitions and aspirations that Spurs currently have, Eriksen and Lamela possess the kind of quality they need.
