A lot was said about Arsenal's current situation before this match - the fact that they are currently victim to a spate of injuries and have barely added any quality to their existing squad during the transfer window - but in bringing the likes of Carl Jenkinson and Tomas Rosicky in to the starting eleven, they proved that they have plenty of strength in depth. There's no arguing that Arsenal couldn't do with some new acquisitions before the transfer window slams shut on Monday evening, but if they have to make do with what they already have it wouldn't be the end of the world for the club.
