Arsenal: 10 Best Premier League Era Players (Who Appeared Less Than 100 Times)

3. Remi Garde

French defensive player Garde decided to finish his career at Arsenal under Wenger, and although he was used sparingly - just 45 times - due to a knee problem it proved a successful end. Covering for Vieira and Emmanuel Petit in holding midfield, Garde helped the Gunners complete a Premier League and FA Cup double in 1998. Since retiring on that high note, Garde has gone into coaching and has been on the staff at Lyon since 2003. Serving as assistant to a string of managers including ex-Rangers boss Paul Le Guen and former Liverpool and Aston Villa coach Gerard Houllier, he was promoted to the hotseat at the Stade Gerland in 2011. Garde has been tipped to replace Wenger one day.
