Of course, its important to remember that Ozils influence on Arsenal goes way beyond what happens this season. I think most of us would agree that he is certainly one of the best players in the world and the sort of player that the Gunners can build their team around. I think we can be fairly critical of Arsenal over the last few years for selling their best players. They would certainly have an incredible squad had they been able to keep all of their best players; there is now an opportunity to rebuild. Arsene Wenger has an incredible reputation for developing players, but he now has the opportunity to go and sign key players as well; fans will be hoping that the signing of Ozil was just the start. I think we know that the Gunners wont spending the same as Man City and Chelsea, but they have at least got a chance of competing. Beyond this season, Arsenal must look ahead to future challenges and Mesut Ozil can play a big part in any success that they enjoy. Im sure the German will be hoping that the squad is further bolstered in the summer.
