Questions were beginning to be raised about Arsene Wenger€™s principles and whether he should still be in charge of the Gunners. Prior to the visit of Manchester United, Arsenal had already suffered defeats to Stoke, Hull and Fulham. Following their collapse during the title race of the previous season many believed that Arsenal were losing their ability to compete with United. Arsenal proved all their doubters wrong with a hugely significant win over their rivals.
