TEAMtalk are reporting that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery may sell misfiring striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer to make room for new recruits. The site claims the Spaniard doesn't rate his 27-year old forward and wants to offload him as soon as possible.

Turkish side Fenerbahçe are said to be interested in taking Lacazette off the Premier League club's hands during the transfer window, and there's a chance the player (who scored 14 goals in 31 league appearances at the Emirates last campaign) will be replaced by Valencia hitman Rodrigo.

If this transpires, it'll be depressing for Arsenal fans. So many column inches were devoted to Lacazette when he arrived as the club's record signing from Lyon in a bumper £46.5 million deal last year. The French star never caught fire at Arsenal though, and his stuttering form meant he also missed out on a place in the France squad for this year's World Cup.

Emery is said to be against pairing Lacazette with fellow striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up front next season. That means one will either sit on the bench or depart the club, and it looks like Lacazette is the most likely.
