Arsenal Transfer News: Van Persie Happy At Emirates & Could Stay
Robin Van Persie is reportedly showing signs of being much happier with the direction of Arsenal FC in recent weeks and has been "visibly buoyed" in training by the club's new signings.
Goal.com. Having announced his intention not to commit his future at the Emirates last month, the Arsenal captain's behavior is said to have vastly improved in recent days and the atmosphere at London Colney training ground on Wednesday was said to have been uplifted and renergised by the mood of the players. For the first time this summer, Wenger was able to field all his first team players on the training ground (barring the still crocked Jack Wilshere) and ahead of the Gunners flying out to Germany on Monday for the club's second pre-season tour, was said to be extremely positive. Earlier this summer, Van Persie had expressed his anger at the club's direction and the transfer policy of the club that "lacked ambition" in a damning statement posted on his personal website. The 28-year-old is now apparently pleased that Arsene Wenger has completed the signings of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Grioud and is delighted that the club are showing interest in a number of players, leading to some speculation that his exit from North London may not be as imminent as previously thought. Van Persie was extremely disappointed that the club sold star players Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabergas last summer but the interest in Real Madrids Sahin on a season-long loan and the pending completion of Santi Cazorla's reported £18 million signing has reportedly pleased the Dutchman.
