Arsenal Transfer News: Wenger Confirms Germany's Marco Reus Eyed

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he is "on the case" in attempts to sign Germany star Marco Reus.

Daily Star. The Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder is currently away on Euro 2012 international duty where he scored the fourth goal for the Germans as they easily disposed of Greece 4-2 in the Quarter Finals last Friday. Wenger confirmed on French TV station TF1, where the Gunners boss was doing commentary duties on that match, whether he was "on the case" for signing 23-year-old Reus, to which Wenger simply replied "Yes". Dortmund stumped up £14 million for Reus in January only to be immediately loaned out to Borussia Monchengladbach. He has returned to Dortmund to start the new campaign but has admirers across Europe after his performances at Euro 2012. However as Dortmund have just sold their star player Shinji Kagawa to Manchester United, boss Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to sanction a move away for Reus, who signed with the intention of him being a replacement for their departed Japanese international. Reus scored 21 goals and laid on 10 assists last season to secure a Champions League spot for Mochengladbach last season.
