Edinson Cavani is said to have begged Paris Saint-Germain to lower his £50 million asking price with a view to opening negotiations with Arsenal. The Uruguayan reportedly likes the idea of living in London and linking up with Arsenal Wenger and fellow South American Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates. Cavani, an out-and-out striker by trade, is currently playing second fiddle to none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Laurent Blancs first-choice frontman, forcing the former to operate in a wider role. The 27-year-old appeared to be on the cusp of joining Chelsea every time a transfer window rolled around throughout his Napoli career, but he eventually completed a rather unexpected £55million move to the French capital in July 2013.
