Arsenal Transfers: 10 DREAM Signings Arsene Wenger Could Make
5. Yohan Cabaye
Arsenal were linked with a move for Yohan Cabaye last summer and had a £10 million offer for the midfielder turned down by Newcastle. Cabaye promptly went on strike when his move to Emirates Stadium was rebuffed, and was fined for his actions. The Frenchman has settled down since, and is currently enjoying a purple patch of form at St James Park, scoring seven Premier League goals this term. The midfielder would fit Wengers blueprint in signing French-born players and his vision for a pass and smooth ball control would lend the Gunners midfield a touch more composure. Arsenal have an embarrassment of riches in midfield and it remains to be seen quite how he would fit in alongside the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini. Though he would still be considered a dream acquisition by most, particularly if he arrives as part of the aforementioned £30 million package that also includes defender Davide Santon.
