6. Cheick Tiote
I don't think that there is a football fan walking the earth that doesn't know how to beat Arsenal. Ever since Patrick Vieira (to a lesser extent Gilberto Silva) left the club Arsenal's midfield has become soft. So much so that teams like Stoke look forward to playing the mighty Arsenal because they know they can easily out muscle their midfield. Buying Tiote would instantly change that. To put it simply he is a midfield war machine in the same mould as Rino Gattuso. In the old days of Ice Hockey teams used to hire "goons" to go out and fight with the opposition if they tried to hurt one of their more talented team mates. Tiote would be the enforcer that Arsenal have lacked for so long. The bite that none of their current midfield offer. To simply class him as an enforcer is to do him a disservice though. He has a tremendous engine that would keep him running when all around him have dropped and he isn't to bad with the ball at his feet either. He would be a costly signing no doubt and there is the pesky thing that every couple of years he would leave the club for five weeks at the turn of the year to play in the African Cup Of Nations but Wenger has never shied away from buying African players before.
