Arsenal Transfers: 10 Strikers Arsene Wenger Must Sign Before Window Shuts

Why Wilfried Bony is still at Manchester City is anybody’s guess.

The Ivorian is one of the most talented strikers in England, and yet he is wasting away collecting his hefty wage on the bench every week. Signed in January 2015 as cover for the perennially injured Sergio Aguero, Bony can often find himself without much of a purpose when the Argentine is fit except to trot on for the remaining 15 minutes of a game.

With the emergence of Kelechi Iheanacho last season, and Pep Guardiola’s track record for static forwards (think Zlatan and Mandzukic), the former Swansea hitman could find opportunities even harder to come by next season. Having bagged 25 goals in his debut campaign for the Welsh outfit, and 53 in 73 games for Vitesse Arnhem, the man is a proven goalscorer.

At 27, the £28 million man should be looking for game-time, and with City having just landed Gabriel Jesus and on the verge of Marlos Moreno’s capture, it probably won’t happen for him at Eastlands.
