Arsenal Transfers: 10 Strikers Arsene Wenger Must Target This Summer
7. Javier Hernandez
Another out-of-favour star who Arsenal could target this summer is Manchester United's forgotten man Javier Hernandez. Hernandez had to settle for playing second fiddle to Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck at Old Trafford last season, making just 24 league appearances, of which 18 came from the bench. And the Mexican, affectionately nicknamed by supporters as 'Chicharito' - Little Pea - has made no secret of his dissatisfaction over his reduced playing time at the Theatre of Dreams in recent months. Hernandez recently said he may have to look elsewhere if he wants more time on the pitch while it remains to be seen if he fits into new manager Louis van Gaal's plans. If he doesn't, he could make a shock switch to Arsenal, according to recent reports. Hernandez's predatory instincts and eye for goal would certainly boost Arsenal's forward line, while it isn't completely inconceivable that he will swap United for rivals Arsenal, given the two sides have done business in the past with van Persie heading to Old Trafford. The Red Devils would be unlikely to stand in the Gunner's way if they made a bid, with Hernandez seemingly deemed surplus to requirement and well down in the proverbial pecking order.
