Arsenal Transfers: 10 Worst Arsene Wenger Signings Ever
5. Junichi Inamoto
Let's be honest, in terms of international business and t-shirt sales, Junichi Inamoto was a great buy for Arsenal. The £4 million purchase was clearly a smart move to get the team's brand on the lucrative Asian market. His star in the East was rising, so it made sense to channel that.
However, what he managed to contribute on the pitch was far more minimal. Inamoto didn't really get a run of games for the Gunners, only managing to make four appearances for the club during his tenure before making the move to Fulham a year later.
While he didn't really make much of a contribution to Arsenal during his one season there, he did manage to put his name into Gunners lore when he scored an absolutely magnificent goal against arch rivals Manchester United in a 3-1 victory for Fulham. It's just a shame he couldn't do the same thing for the Gunners when he was playing for them.
