4. Shay Given

The former Blackburn, Newcastle United and Manchester City goalkeeper is another world class goalkeeper who has dropped off the radar recently. He has only played two Premier League games all season for his current side, Aston Villa, and is clearly out of favour with manager Paul Lambert, who is sticking with Bradley Guzan as his number 1. But Shay Given still has a lot to give, even if he is 36. The veteran goalkeeper has played at the top levels of world football before, and prior to the emergence of Joe Hart as Manchester City's number 1 keeper, Given made nearly 70 appearances at the Etihad but failed to win any silverware - his tenure was before the Abu-Dhabi Billions. The experience that the 36-year old could bring to the table though might be the short term solution for Wenger - by employing a keeper who has proven himself at the very top over the past decade, he could give Szczsny time to develop as his understudy.
