Arsenal Transfers: 5 Deals That Definitely Won't Happen

1. Klass-Jan Huntelaar

Arsenal had been hoping to sign a Klaas player this month and had eyed up Schalke striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar until recently. The prodigious Dutchman scored a perfect 48 goals in 48 appearances last season and has already got 11 goals to his name this season. He has also been capped by Holland 59 times and has scored an impressive 34 international goals. It's easy to see then why the former Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan goal machine is such hot property. Liverpool joined Arsenal in registering their interest in the player, but both were left disappointed when last month, the player signed a two-year contract extension with Schalke, tying him down with the club until 2015. Bad luck, Arsene. Source(s): The Guardian
