Arsenal Transfers: 5 Forwards To Replace Injured Theo Walcott

1. Loic Remy

Modern French greats Thierry Henry and Robert Pires are most famously remembered for their stints at Arsenal. Could Newcastle United's loan star Remy follow in the footsteps of his fellow countrymen? Owned by QPR, Remy has recently admitted he misses Champions League football. He is only likely to get that with the Gunners should he stay in England. Caught Offside recently revealed there is a rumoured £12 million deal in place for Wenger to sign the player. It would be interesting to see what happened if that offer was made in the winter window. Remy is on a season-long loan at the Toon, but it is up to the Hoops and not Alan Pardew whether he is to be sold. Remy has certainly been eye-catching at Newcastle. Either up front or out wide he has been the most likely to score on Tyneside this term. That versatility could be used to cover for compatriot Giroud or the crocked Walcott very nicely at the Emirates. There are other names for Wenger to consider too. Real Madrid attacking trio Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and Alvaro Morata all have doubts over their long-term futures at the Bernabeu. Wingers Pedro Rodriguez (Barcelona) and Antoine Griezmann (Real Sociedad) have also been mentioned in connection with Arsenal in some quarters. Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato too. Gunners fans, who would you like to see sign for the club in the January transfer window? Have your say below.
