Arsenal Transfers: 5 Goalkeepers To Replace Fabianski

1. David Marshall

Despite Cardiff€™s relegation to the Championship David Marshall had a brilliant season for the Bluebirds. The Scotsman was a standout performer and was unlucky to miss out on being named in the PFA Team of the Season. Impressive performances for Cardiff have led Marshall to be linked with a host of Premier League sides, including Liverpool and Tottenham. Arsenal have now reportedly joined the race to sign the 29-year-old as Wenger attempts to replace Fabianski. The major plus-point with Marshall is the fact that he is proven Premier League quality. After beginning his career with Scottish champions Celtic, Marshall moved to Norwich in 2007. Two years later, the 29-year-old moved to Cardiff for just £500,000, where he has developed into one of the league€™s best goalkeepers. Like Mandanda, given his age and experience Marshall would be a perfect number two for Arsenal. However, a major stumbling block will be his asking price. The Scottish international recently signed a deal with the Bluebirds in February 2018, tying him to the club till 2018. It means that the club are now valuing him at £15 million. An amount Wenger is unlikely to be willing to part with for a second choice €˜keeper.
