2. Steve Mandanda
Since joining Marseille in 2007, Steve Mandanda has gone on to make 250 appearances for the club. He has become synonymous with LOM and played a key role in their Ligue 1 triumph during the 2009/2010 season. A two-time winner of the Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year and capped 16 times by France, Mandanda would undoubtedly add quality to the Arsenal ranks. While he may not be the biggest goalkeeper, Mandandas reflexes make him a sought after commodity for many of Europes top sides. At 29 years of age, Mandanda has bags of experience, knowledge that he could no doubt part to Szczesny. The Frenchman would make a perfect number two, putting pressure on Szczesny to maintain his form, whilst also offering the Gunners with a top quality goalkeeper to use in cup competitions and against weaker opposition. Mandanda has already been ruled out of this summers World Cup in Brazil with neck injury, meaning there is no rush to concluded the transfer. Marcelo Bielsa has recently taken charge at Marseille and the Chilean will have a large say on where Mandanda plays his football next season. Should the new manager want to keep hold of the 29-year-old, then Arsenal will face a fight to sign him.
