Arsenal Transfers: 5 Players Likely To Leave In August

4. Emmanuel Frimpong

The Ghanaian midfielder is a product of the Arsenal youth academy having joined the club back in 2001 though he has only made six first team Premier League appearances for the club since 2011. Used fleetingly in League Cup outings, Frimpong spent six weeks on loan at Charlton Athletic last season before joining Fulham for the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign back in January. Frimpong, who has never scored for Arsenal, was tipped to be sold in the winter transfer window but was instead loaned. His contract expires this summer and the 21-year-old could make his stay at Craven Cottage permanent by joining on a free transfer this summer. While it's perhaps unkind to label the youngster a "flop", it would still come as a surprise to see him at the Emirates next season and he's never really been given a fair crack of the whip in North London. Perhaps he'll prove himself at Fulham.
