Ashley Williams has been a remarkable figure of consistency at the back for Swansea City this season, with his displays of defensive ability and leadership qualities leading many to believe him to be one of the league's most under-rated defenders. The Wales captain is not prone to error, he keeps a very cool head and is technically a good defender. His physical stature also means he is a useful player in defending and attacking set pieces, and he is on the whole a remarkably sound player.
