1. Hatem Ben Arfa
It's no secret that Hatem Ben Arfa is supremely talented footballer, one of the most skillful dribblers in the Premier League, he regularly rescues matches for Newcastle with individual brilliance - when he is fit. This season has seen Ben Arfa hampered by injuries somewhat, meaning that we haven't seen as much of him as he would have liked, but it also means that his market value will have dropped, something which his long term admirer Arsene Wenger will not have failed to notice. Enough people have eulogised over Ben Arfa's ability for it to be clear to everyone just how effective this winger is, and after seasons in the Premier League, one assumes there would be no need for a settling period at a club like Arsenal. Arsenal have enjoyed a relatively good season in terms of wing-play through the good form of Walcott and Podolski, but one player in that position who may be leaving after some poor form and a great deal of frustration is Gervinho. The Ivorian is the player Arsenal currently rely on for unpredictability and skill (largely because even he cannot predict what he will do next), but an undoubtedly better replacement for that role is Ben Arfa. The Frenchman would provide something Arsenal are lacking: controlled unpredictability. Ben Arfa could turn out to be a match-winning masterstroke, he would tick all the boxes of an Arsene Wenger signing.
