He's by no means an out-and-out goalscoring machine and though his assist ratio is high - more than any other player across Europes top five leagues - you can't help but quibble over the price-tag. Wenger had £70 million to spend this summer and he lavished more than half of it on just one player who hasn't yet proven himself in English football nor indeed as a goalscorer. Ozil has just become Arsenal's record signing and eyebrows have been raised over the fee paid.
