Arsenal Transfers: 5 Short-Term Replacements For Injured Lukas Podolski

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The Paris Saint-Germain striker could be the perfect fix for Arsenal. The Gunners need a new forward with Podolski ruled out until around the middle of November while Ibrahimovic has hinted he could leave this summer. The 31-year-old is by no means a long-term fix given his age but what he could bring to Arsenal is a temporary reprieve to their injury nightmare. The Swedish international would likely be signed on a one-year deal and proved last season he still has a keen eye for goal as he fired PSG to the Ligue 1 title with a remarkable 30 goals in 34 league appearances. Ibrahimovic would bring with him a wealth of experience having plied his trade in the past for the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona, and could be tempted by one final swansong in England. Could Arsenal be the final club in his storied career? Do Arsenal need to buy a replacement for Lukas Podolski or should Arsene Wenger give Yaya Sanogo an opportunity?
