2. Yaya Sanogo
Another option for Wenger if he is looking for a short-term replacement for Lukas Podolski is to give Yaya Sanogo a chance to prove himself. The much-maligned France international is Wenger's sole signing this summer and it remains to be seen just how successful a purchase the 20-year-old is going to be. The ex-Auxerre man was quietly-successful in his final season in Ligue 1 before his move to the Premier League this summer, scoring 10 times in 13 appearances. He also won the U-20 World Cup with France earlier this year. His detractors however claim he looks like another Marouane Chamakh, who enjoyed a relatively-successful final season in France before bombing in England. Whether or not that turns out to be an accurate assessment remains to be seen, but we might soon have our answer if Sanogo is thrown in at the deep end in his debut season.
