Karim Benzema was reportedly
one of Wenger's top targets in January and as such you can expect the Arsenal boss to bid for the Frenchman once again. Benzema is
currently enduring a difficult time in the Spanish capital, with many fans unhappy with his performances. The level of negativity has escalated to the extent that
some supporters are demanding that the home-grown youngster Morata start instead. This has lead to speculation that Real Madrid may be willing to sell their striker and if that's the case, the opportunity to work with Wenger could be just what Benzema needs to reignite his career. The Arsenal manager is a long-term admirer of the striker and he could be the man to get the best out of the Frenchman. Mesut Ozil's successful move may also persuade Benzema to push for a transfer. The German playmaker has seamlessly adapted to life in England, something that will no doubt fill Benzema with optimism should a move occur. If Benzema does become available then Arsenal can expect serious competition from Europe's elite for his signature. PSG, backed by their Qatari owners, would love to add another marquee signing especially one who is French.
A fee of £43 million should be enough to persuade Madrid to part with Benzema, money that the club could potentially then use to
finance a move for Liverpool's Luis Suarez.
