Arsenal Transfers: 8 Late Deadline Day Deals Arsene Wenger Could Do
5. Mathieu Debuchy OUT
All-in-all, Mathieu Debuchy's decision to move to Arsenal from Newcastle has proved to be pretty foolish: by his own admission he's wasted a significant chunk of his career when he should be enjoying his peak years. He's been linked with a move away from the Emirates all winter and while Arsene Wenger doesn't seem overly enthusiastic of his chances of selling the Frenchman, there's a possibility of a temporary move:
At the moment it doesnt look like it, but its a possibility. Its impossible to do permanent deal now.
Meanwhile, Sunderland have been linked with a fresh bid for the player by Sky Sports:
Sunderland made an enquiry over the possibility Mathieu Debuchy coming in on loan, but no movements on that yet. One player that wont be going is Steven Fletcher, who has attracted interest from abroad, the Premier League and Scotland. With the transfer window coming to a close, there is no time to bring in a replacement, so it is likely Fletcher will stay.
And the Mirror have linked Man Utd with a surprising late bid for his services to ease their own defensive crisis.
