2. Get Wilshere On The Ball In Advanced Positions
With Rosicky suffering a minor hamstring twinge and Diaby out indefinitely, the return of Jack the lad is vital for Arsenal. As the most likely of the midfield three to fill the role Rosicky did at the Hawthorns, that of spare man free to break forwards, it is vital Arsenal exploit his pace and dribbling ability in areas away from the tough tackling Johnson and Tettey. His ability to transition between midfield and attack is vital, and if he can have the ball at his feet facing Turner and Bassong, he will create chances. What Arsenal cannot afford is to let him get bogged down in the midfield scrap, as this will result in him playing deeper, placing much of the creative burden on Aaron Ramsey. While the Welshman is a much better player than some supporters have been suggesting, he is still working his way back into form and trying to define his role in the team. Also, with Wilshire's slight inclination to dive into unwise tackles, freeing him of defensive responsibility as much as possible also eases disciplinary issues.
