1. Don't Panic!
Although I have drawn attention to the importance of starting quickly, it is vital that The Gunners keep their composure if they don't get that early goal. There can be a temptation to go hell for leather in pursuit of the breakthrough, and more than once in the first half of the season, Arsenal were caught on the break trying to overextend themselves. The most obvious example of this was against Norwich's most recent opponents, Swansea City, who ran out 2-0 winners at the Emirates, with two goals in the last ten minutes. The home side needs to remember that if they maintain a good tempo, their likely dominance of possession will wear down their opponents, and over the last few seasons Arsenal have scored more result changing late goals than anyone else in the division, particularly at home. With the likes of Podolski and Gervinho on the bench, there are options that provided different threats, and both have attributes that are particularly effective against tired defences. In recent weeks, Steve Bould and a number of first teamers have stressed the increased focus on defensive solidity in the team's tactical set up, and the players need to remember that if they keep a clean sheet, they only need one goal to win. And the technical gap between the two sides should be enough to create chances.
