Sunderland have recently been linked with that Tottenham's Moussa Dembele after they moved for his Spurs colleague Kaboul. Reports suggest, however, that nothing concrete has been decided yet which could give Villa the opportunity to pounce. Dembele has spoken with manager Mauricio Pochettino regarding his place in the Tottenham side next season but with several midfield departures from the London club he might not have anything to worry about. Still, it would still be worth a punt from Sherwood, particularly given his past association with the midfielder. Aged 28 with plenty of football ahead of him he'd be an excellent, experienced addition to Villa's starting XI.
