4. Marseille 1-0 AC Milan (1992)
The inaugural Champions League final (current format and title) saw Marseille become the first and only French team in history to win the biggest prize in Europe. A team now shrouded in controversy due to the match fixing allegations a year later the Marseille side of 1992 featured some of the greatest players in Champions League history. Players like Marcel Desailly and Didier Deschamps were instrumental in helping Marseille lift the cup. The final itself was settled by a solitary goal from French centre-back Basile Boli in what was a very tight encounter but it still remains to this day the greatest moment in this French clubs history.
