Best English Spurs XI Of The Premier League Era

11. Goalkeeper: Paul Robinson

Before Hugo Lloris arrived at White Hart Lane, Paul Robinson was probably the best goalkeeper Spurs had boasted in the Premier League era, full stop, let alone just out of the English stoppers. Robinson appeared 137 times in the Premier League for the Lilywhites and he appeared on an additional 38 occasions in other competitive games. He even scored a goal - an 80 yard free kick - against Watford in the Premier League.

In his time at Spurs, Robinson established himself as England€™s number one goalkeeper and he represented the Three Lions at the World Cup in 2006 in Germany whilst he was a Spurs player. He has 41 caps.

Robinson performed admirably and consistently for Spurs up until his final few matches and he built up a great rapport with the fans - in fact, it wasn't unheard of for Robinson to set the fans away chanting, with €œstand up if you hate Arsenal€ being one of his favourites.
