Best Premier League XI Of The Last Decade
7. LB - Patrice Evra
Patrice Evra might be known by newer football fans for his TV punditry on Sky Sports and his social media presence, but before all that, the Frenchman was a fierce left back who kept attackers at bay with his positioning and ferocious tackles.
The great thing about Evra's time at United was that we got to watch him evolve into a far better player with our very own eyes. Already a very solid defender from his years playing for Monaco, Sir Alex Ferguson helped mould him into an even more well-rounded left back than he already was. The legendary manager took the Frenchman's best qualities and added a little more bite to his game to make him the complete player that we came to know.
Even though he played in an era where wingers and inside forwards were quickly becoming the most dangerous players on the pitch, Evra still managed to handle all of them with commanding performances every single week. No wonder he's still a firm favourite with the Old Trafford faithful to this day
