Best Uncapped Spurs XI Of The Premier League Era

7. Right Back: Kyle Naughton

Kyle Walker, Vedran Corluka and Stephen Carr are just some of the international right backs Spurs have boasted in the Premier League era. The players who didn't earn international caps, however, are still quite abundant. Kyle Naughton arrived at Spurs in 2009 along with his fellow "Kyle" Walker from Sheffield United. The pair cost a collective £9 million and it was said that the bulk of that was actually spent on the older Naughton, but he has not established himself as a first choice member of Spurs' starting eleven as Walker has firmly taken over him in the right back position. In more than five years at White Hart Lane, Naughton has made just 38 Premier League appearances - 33 of which were from the start - and 28 appearances in other competitions, but he has never scored. However, despite his relative lack of action and lack of full international recognition, there is no doubting his capability and there is certainly no doubting his versatility - he has comfortably played at both right and left back without issue in his time at White Hart Lane.
