Cardiff 2-2 Sunderland: Premier League Player Ratings

Sebastian Larsson: Anonymous performance from the Swede. Does not look up for the fight despite years of Premier League experience under his belt. Subbed. 3/10.

Ki Sung-Yueng: Korean midfielder saw a deflected effort kept out and continues to be a surprise source of shots. Cattermole's presence does free up Ki to do this, but for all his endeavour he is not a real attacking player. 5/10.

Fabio Borini: Drew fine stops from Marshall with two efforts before half time. Subbed due to illness at the break and taken to hospital after collapsing. Poyet must hope the Italian recovers from this quickly. 5.5/10.

Jozy Altidore: Screwed wide from close range with the rebound from Ki shot, but offered precious little else besides a focal point that did not always win the battle with Cardiff centre backs. It just never seems to happen for the American in English football. 4/10.

Subs: Steven Fletcher: Came on for Borini for second half and slid in to set up a grandstand finish. Shot straight at Marshall after chesting the ball down thereafter. Definitely Sunderland's first choice striker. 6.5/10.

Craig Gardner: Poyet withdrew ineffectual Larsson for a more natural central midfield option for last 15-20 minutes. Rating N/A.

Jack Colback: Took over from Cattermole, who was on a yellow. Shanked one shot wide, but scored a deflected last gasp effort. Stole a point for Sunderland here. 5.5/10.
