Cardiff 2-2 Sunderland: Premier League Player Ratings

Sunderland

Vito Mannone: Mutch's opener was deflected past him, but at the near post. Italian keeper clawed over from Kim and stopped a near post Whittingham free kick. 5.5/10.

Phil Bardsley: Nice pullback for second Borini chance. Booked for trip on Campbell. Switching between the flanks of defence cannot be helping the Black Cats cause. 5.5/10.

Modibo Diakite: Woefully short of Premier League quality. Had rushes of blood where he ran out of defence, nervy clearances. Mutch shot went in off him. Sunderland earned a point in spite of this player. 3/10.

Valentin Roberge: Pulled out of a tackle on Mutch early on and lived very dangerously in defence throughout. Saw a stoppage time volley kept out by Marshalland assisted Colback's last gasp leveller. The sooner Wes Brown, Carlos Cuellar and John O'Shea are back the better. 4/10.

Andrea Dossena: Had a torrid time first half against Noone. Destined to lose his place to impending loan signing Marcos Alonso. Poyet has had to play Italian at left back because other picks would be square pegs. 3.5/10.

Lee Cattermole: Customary booking for foul on Mutch. Failed in his task to stop Cardiff attacks throughout the 60 minutes. Subbed. 3.5/10.

Emanuele Giaccherini: Teed up Borini for late first half chance and assisted Fletcher's goal. Definitely one of Di Canio's better signings that Poyet inherited. 6/10.
