3. Roberto Di Matteo
Roberto Di Matteo hasnt worked in football management since being sacked by Chelsea last year and is a free agent, making his potential appointment as Mackay's successor one of the less complicated of possible options. The Italian's track record as a coach is impressive - guiding West Brom out of the Championship and to Premier League promotion in his first season in charge after taking over in 2009. He would go on to oversee Albions best start in a Premier League season on record, and was named Manager of the Month for September 2010. He was ultimately relieved of his duties at the Hawthorns however in 2011 after a poor string of results, but then went on to win the FA Cup and Champions League with Chelsea. Di Matteo has the best CV of any candidate being tipped to replace Mackay, and the 43-year-old would likely relish another crack at the topflight.
