2. Yılmaz Vural
Turk Yilmaz Vural is
one of the early favourites to replace Malky Mackay at Cardiff. The 60-year-old has managed an astonishing 27 Turkish clubs in a coaching career spanning 27 years, and is a popular media pundit in his homeland. Vural is most known for
his aggressive coaching style, and has managed almost every club in the Turkish League except 'the three giants' - Beikta, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. The ex-Elazıspor boss, who is a free agent after resigning from the aforementioned side, has been linked with the Cardiff job
since November, when relations between Mackay and Tan first started to freeze over. He told turkish-football.com at the time:
"It wouldn't be right for me to say anything while the club in mention have a manager but we have been in contact. "Also I have been approached by two clubs in the lower league, it's a case of waiting now."
The other two sides interested in Vural's services are reported to be Sheffield Wednesday, who recently sacked Dave Jones, and Portsmouth.
