9. Kevin GroŸkreutz (Borussia Dortmund)

This rumour came seemingly out of nowhere towards the end of July, but apparently the Borussia Dortmund star has been quoted as saying he€™d be interested in joining Celtic this summer. GroŸkreutz has a soft spot for the club and, with him seemingly out of favour with Dortmund after missing a large part of last season through injury, speculation is now mounting that he may soon join the side he claims to be a huge fan of. Having won a World Cup winners medal in 2014 with Germany and two Bundesliga titles with Dortmund, GroŸkreutz has shown he can play at the highest level and would certainly be a huge coup for Celtic. With less than 12-months left on his current contract he is another player who would presumably be cheaper than Hartson€™s quoted figure of £6 million - particularly as Arsenal were linked with a £3.7m bid earlier this year - and, whilst he is primarily a right back, the German international would also provide some much needed competition for Emilio Izaguirre€™s left back position in the team.
