Celtic Transfers: 5 Strikers Lennon Could Buy For £6 Million Or Less

2. Vincent Aboubakar

This is a player that many fans would not have expected to see on this list, but he's here on merit. Aboubakar plays for French team Lorient in Ligue 1, and is the third top-scorer in the league with 11 goals, only one less than Edison Cavani. Aboubakar has quite a few skills in his locker which have kept FC Lorient mid-table. If it wasn't for his goals, they could be in a more dangerous position. He's a fantastic dribbler and can score from very tight angles/tight situations - this guy definitely knows where the goal is. The downside to Vincent though, is the fact he wouldn't have been noticed before this season. At his previous club, Valenciennes, he only managed 15 goals in 80 appearances in all competitions. Much like Danny Ings, it's rational to think that bidding for a player who is currently having his only good season to date is definitely a gamble. Gambles are something worth taking though, and I think Vincent Aboubakar deserves to be on Celtic's radar, and I would be surprised if he isn't. He is a player hitting the form of his life and we should be trying to take advantage of that with a bid of around £3 million.

As a recent university graduate and a huge supporter of Celtic FC, what better way to use my inevitable free time to write about my favourite football team? I'll cover most things that the supporters are talking about at the moment, which includes things that directly and indirectly involve the club. At times I may also stray into matters concerning English clubs.
