3. His Sides Play Attractive Football
Borussia Dortmund's march into this season's Champions League semi-finals has been an absolute breath of fresh air. They play brave, fearless, attacking stylish football and cantered through the so called "Group of Death" when many expected them to fall to the likes of the expensively-assembled Real Madrid and City. Yet here's a side who have been put together on a comparatively modest budget and yet are three games away from winning the Champions League. Roman Abramovich has long wanted his Chelsea to play with the same sort of attacking fluidity that Dortmund are currently demonstrating under Klopp and the German's style of football would thus seem to play into the hands of the Russian oligarch. During the 2011/12 season, the 81 points accrued by Borussia Dortmund was the greatest points tally ever amassed in Bundesliga history and the 47 points earned in the second half of the season also set a new record. Dortmund also went on a 28-league match unbeaten sequence throughout that campaign which was the best ever recorded in a single German top-flight season. If ever you needed a reason as to why Klopp should be given the Chelsea job, that would be chief among them.
